How these calculators work
Every astrology tool here computes real planetary positions from the Swiss Ephemeris — the same astronomical data set used by professional astrology software. Your birth time is converted to Universal Time using the historical timezone rules for that date and place, which matters more than most people realise: India used different offsets before 1955, and getting this wrong shifts an entire chart.
Calculations use the Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa and the Whole Sign house system by default — the classical Parashari standard. Every result tells you which settings were used, because a chart without that context can't be verified.
What a calculator can't do: it shows you placements, not meaning. Reading a chart properly means weighing strengths, aspects, dashas and timing together — that takes a trained eye, not a table of numbers.
