Manglik Cancellation
Detection is the easy part and every tool agrees on it. What most leave out is that the texts list a substantial set of conditions under which the dosha is considered cancelled.

How Manglik Dosha Is Detected
Mars in the first, second, fourth, seventh, eighth or twelfth house causes what is called Manglik dosha, also known as Kuja or Chevva dosha.
Standard practice checks from three reference points: the ascendant, the Moon and Venus. This is why one tool can call a chart Manglik and another can clear it — they are counting from different points, and neither is wrong.
The Part Usually Left Out
The same tradition that describes the dosha also describes when it does not apply. Those conditions are extensive, well documented, and routinely omitted — which leaves people frightened by half a teaching.
Mars in its own sign (Aries or Scorpio) or exalted in Capricorn is widely accepted as cancelling it. Several traditions exempt Mars in Taurus, Leo, Virgo, Aquarius or Pisces on grounds of lordship and friendship. A debilitated Mars in Cancer is held by many to lack the strength to produce the dosha fully.
Jupiter or Venus conjunct Mars, or Jupiter aspecting it from the seventh, is among the most commonly accepted mitigations. And the dosha is traditionally held to weaken with age, with a number of traditions treating it as spent after twenty-eight.
How Common It Actually Is
Roughly one chart in three carries Manglik dosha from at least one reference point. That is not a rare affliction; it is a common configuration.
The classical position is also that the dosha is neutralised when both partners carry it, which is why a Manglik-to-Manglik match is traditionally considered unproblematic and is often actively suggested.
What It Should Not Decide
Manglik dosha has never been, in serious practice, a reason on its own to reject a match. It is one factor among many in a marriage assessment.
Real harm has been done by treating it as a verdict — matches broken, people made to feel defective, expensive remedies sold on the strength of a single flag from a free calculator. That is a misuse of the teaching, not an application of it.
What a Proper Assessment Looks At
The seventh house and its lord in both charts, which is where marriage is read. The Navamsa, the divisional chart associated with marriage. The condition of Venus and Jupiter. The running dashas of both people, since timing shapes how a marriage begins.
Any dosha is then weighed within that picture, with its cancellations, rather than read as a standalone verdict. If you are genuinely deciding, that is the reading to get — not a flag from this page or any other.
