How Two Names Are Compared

Each name is converted to a number using the Chaldean system, where letters carry values from 1 to 8 and there is no 9. The values are added and reduced to a single digit, and the two resulting numbers are compared using the planetary relationships numerology works from.

Which Spelling to Use

The one actually in use. Numerology treats the name in circulation as the meaningful one rather than the legal version, on the reasoning that vibration comes from repetition and recognition.

This matters more here than in most checks, because people are known by different names in different settings. A comparison using formal names on a certificate and one using what two people actually call each other can give different results, and the second is generally the more relevant.

The Four Outcomes

The same number is strongly reinforcing — two people who tend to approach things similarly. Comfortable, and occasionally it means neither balances the other.

Friendly indicates numbers that support each other.

Neutral is the most common outcome and describes most pairs of names. It is not a finding.

Why This Is Lighter Than Date Comparison

This deserves stating clearly rather than being buried.
